The European Technology Platform (ETP) for Sustainable Chemistry (SusChem) has published its Strategic Innovation and Research Agenda (SIRA) which sets out its innovation priorities for the next 3-5 years. The new SusChem SIRA acknowledges the important role of carbohydrate in healthcare and also in the chemical industry. In particular, the microbiome and the metrology of carbohydrates have been identified as a key area for further investment in R&D targeting biopharmaceuticals, precision medicine and sustainable materials. The new SIRA can be downloaded here and for more information please visit the SusChem website press release.
