The Radboud Consortium for Glycoscience (RCG) is a new interfaculty initiative to promote research in the field of Glycosciences at Radboud University. Ten groups of the Medical and Science faculties will join their expertise, ranging from synthetic and analytical chemistry to biology and applied clinical research, with a focus on glycoscience. We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic postdoc to promote visibility of the RCG, to develop teaching programs on Glycoscience, and to develop glycoproteomics technologies. The applicant will actively interact with members of the RCG to gather scientific information for the website and about ongoing teaching programs to harmonize teaching on Glycoscience at Radboud University. The applicant will also organize regular meetings for the RCG to promote collaborations and attract new members. The position is formally housed within the analytical team of the Glycosylation Disorders group and involves co-development of glycan mass spectrometry methodologies, including novel state-of-the art glycoproteomics technology. As this position is an interfaculty position, regular meetings with collaborators in the Radboud University will be held. Hence, it is important that the applicant has knowledge glycans at the molecular level as well as some affinity with spectroscopy.
